Greetings, friend.
A glorious day of football was had at London's new Wembley stadium on Sunday. Spurs earned their ticket to the grand stage by way of a 5-1 drubbing of the Arse in a League Cup (Carling Cup) semi-final last month, and coming in were underdogs to the tedious and obscenely rich holders, Chelsea. Chelsea had defeated WackyNeighbor's Everton in a semi-final which sadly prevented us from arranging an epic viewing party.
From the start, Spurs looked bright and had Chelski on their heels. The first half saw the blues go up 1-0 on a free kick just outside the box - a lead which this Chelsea side rarely fail to hold. However, Spurs looked solid at the back, and continued fighting up front and in the 70th minute were awarded a penalty thanks to some handball action by Wayne Bridge. Berbatov doesn't miss penalties.
Robbie Keane leads the celebration after a well-earned victoryFrom there, Chelsea looked desperate and resorted to whining and referee skullduggery. The 2-1 lead held, and the world rejoiced that a club outside of the usual suspects (Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, or Chelsea) won a major trophy.
Further, Spurs have punched their ticket to the UEFA Cup competition next year. Things are on the up and up under Juande Ramos. Hopefully Spurs can hold on to to Berba in the offseason and win bigger and better silverware! (I'm sad to say that's probably a lot more likely than the Orioles doing anything positive over the same time frame)
Also, check out the K-Man's homage to the win.

Fantastic win by Spurs! If it wasn't going to be Everton, I'm glad to see Tottenham win.
Everton is playing very well in the UEFA Cup (after defeating SK Brann 8-1 over 2 matches) and is making a serious run at finishing in the Top 4 in the Premier League and knocking Liverpool - of all teams - out of the upper echelon.
Probably best that you didn't include the photo of a post-celebration Ledley King.
